A collaborative, relational approach to shifting old patterns and feeling at home within yourself.

Meet Claire

Starting with a new therapist (or reaching out in general) can bring up a lot. I’m here to make the process as warm and helpful as possible.

My name is Claire (she/her) and I am a therapist. I offer in-person sessions on the Sunshine Coast, BC (Sechelt) and virtual sessions for residents of Alberta or British Columbia.

Feel free to reach out if you have questions!

  • Who I Work With

I tend to work with folks who aren’t feeling satisfied or want to increase their quality of life. Have you “checked all the boxes” and still aren’t feeling that you’re living the life you imagined for yourself? Have you done a lot of talk therapy and still feel stuck? If so, we might be a good fit.

This can show up as perfectionism, lack of motivation, hyper-independence, people pleasing tendencies, struggling with boundaries, imposter syndrome etc.

My specialties are ADHD, anxiety, complex trauma, and attachment and relational patterns. I work with teens (13+) and adults.

  • What To Expect

My therapy approach is relational, casual and collaborative. Feeling comfortable and connected is when therapy is most effective.

(Wear pajamas, eat snacks in session; I want you to feel comfy!)

    What Sessions Can Look Like:

    • Getting to know each other and what's going on for you.

    • Figuring out what's important to you. Getting clear on what you’ve tried already (what works/what doesn’t work).

    • Trying different approaches and interventions; it's all about finding the right fit for you.

    • Checking back in after you’ve been able to practice. Tweaking where needed.

  • Modalities I Use

I consider myself an eclectic therapist, which means I draw from various modalities. I believe in a holistic approach to healing that addresses both cognitive processes and how trauma is stored in our nervous systems.

I am an EMDR-trained clinician, drawing from parts work, attachment theory, and somatic approaches. To support day-to-day regulation, I integrate practical skills from CBT & DBT.

  • Values I Care About

    • Autonomy and Dignity

    • Care and Curiousity

    • Strength and Growth

I always strive to be trauma-informed and work from an anti-oppressive lens. I acknowledge my own privileges as a cisgender, white woman and deeply value inclusivity and being a lifelong learner.
